Position Overview

United Airlines is seeking a Customer Service Agent for a flexible contract/gig opportunity based in Houston, TX. This role centers on service recovery and providing exceptional support to passengers at various airport touchpoints including the ticket counter, baggage service office, and boarding gates. You will be the first and last point of contact, handling check-ins, document verification, and ancillary service sales during a fast-paced 24/7 operation.

Salary: $40k-$60k/Year (approx. $961/Week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver prompt service recovery by proactively re-booking passengers during delays or cancellations.
  • Assist passengers with check-ins, document verification, and selling ancillary services such as seat upgrades and baggage fees.
  • Operate on a 24/7 schedule, adapting to shifts including early day (as early as 4 AM), night, weekend, and holiday assignments.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient airport operations in a high-traffic environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Entry-level candidates are welcome; no prior airline experience is required.
  • Must be available for a variety of shift schedules including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced airport environment.
