Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Biotech Sales Representative to drive revenue growth, establish strategic partnerships, and expand our customer base. In this full-time role, you will identify new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to enhance sales strategies. Compensation: From $75,000.00 per year. Located in San Diego, CA with a requirement to relocate before starting work, you will work on the road with up to 75% travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Sales: Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive company revenue and market expansion.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competition, and potential areas for growth.
- Strategic Partnerships: Develop and manage partnerships with relevant stakeholders to enhance business opportunities.
- Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate deals, pricing structures, and contracts to maximize profitability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to align business development strategies with company objectives.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and key business metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Doctorate in Cell & Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, Genetics & Genomics, Immunology, Synthetic Biology, Environmental & Agricultural Biology, Life Sciences or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years in business development, sales, or a related role (including at least 1 year in Cell Biology and Genetics); industry experience is a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, proven ability to generate leads and close deals, analytical mindset with a data-driven approach, ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment, and proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics software.
- Certification: Valid Driver's License is required.
