Position Overview

This position will start in January or February 2026. When you join Medicus Healthcare Solutions, you become part of an industry that you may have never known existed. At our core, Medicus operates within the healthcare industry – specifically in the locum tenens space – acting as the liaison between healthcare facilities and the physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners who serve there. As a Physician Recruiter, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with healthcare providers across the United States, understanding their needs and matching them with the best job opportunities. You will act as an advisor from the initial conversation through placement and beyond. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated self-starter who is passionate about making a difference in healthcare every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct physician and mid-level sourcing activities through cold calling, social media, online job boards, recruitment databases, state medical boards, professional association sites, regional conferences, state chapter meetings, and marketing email campaigns.
  • Qualify, present, and recommend candidates that align with our clients' needs by evaluating candidate fit for specific locations.
  • Build and maintain a well-qualified talent pipeline.
  • Collaborate with your team regularly to manage your active candidate pool.
  • Negotiate candidate rates, travel arrangements, shifts, and other contracting details affecting placement.
  • Join professional networking organizations, attend industry trade shows, and establish passive channel sources to further develop your candidate pipeline.
