Position Overview
The Social Media & Content Manager is responsible for overall management, content creation, and social media strategy for the Resort across all relevant platforms. The role involves developing engaging, on-brand content and executing social media calendars and campaigns in alignment with property, brand, and marketing goals. In this position, you will work closely with the Marketing and Public Relations team, reporting to the Executive Director of Marketing and Public Relations, and collaborating with internal teams to plan and implement creative content initiatives.

- Oversee all Resort social channels including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok for the Resort, Tidal Cove Waterpark, and Bourbon Steak.
- Develop high-quality, on-brand, and engaging original content to increase brand presence and social media audience.
- Create and manage the social editorial calendar, posting schedule, content shoot planning, and review content produced by team members.
- Coordinate with various departments to plan social media content shoots and ensure monthly coverage of on-site ancillaries.
- Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager and Executive Marketing & PR Director on marketing and content initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate content photo/video shoots to ensure alignment with brand goals and strategies.
- Utilize social media management tools such as Sprout Social to track KPIs, analyze data, and generate performance reports.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to continuously improve social media practices.
- Serve as the Resort’s expert on social media and content production techniques, including emerging platform testing.
- Facilitate partnerships with influencers and businesses to create campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Specialist to manage customer service leads for social media escalations.
- Support public relations initiatives by integrating press mentions and aligning PR efforts with the editorial calendar.
- Manage in-house content production shoots and oversee outsourced professional shoots, including planning, storyboard creation, and editing oversight.
- Organize and streamline content storage and obtainment processes.
- Research emerging trends in social media and content production and advise management on relevant updates.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Experience Required: 3+ years of experience in social media, marketing, and visual communications.
- Experience Required: 2+ years of experience in video production, photography, and video editing.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate multiple projects to meet critical deadlines.
- Keen attention to detail with strong proofreading and auditing skills.
- Familiarity with social-first video creation tools such as CapCut, InShot, and native editing in Instagram and TikTok.
- Experience operating DSLR cameras for professional photography and videography.
- Ability to manage, lead, and train team members in a creative environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with marketing and on-site teams.
- Demonstrated capability to measure results and present insights effectively to company leadership.
- Ability to conceptualize and execute creative content strategies.
- Understanding of cross-platform marketing initiatives (web, mobile, tablet).
- Flexibility to work holidays, weekends, and non-standard hours as required for content creation shoots.
- Fluent in English.
- Must be able to work on-site at the Resort as a full-time, in-house team member.
- Must be physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds and capable of standing, walking, reaching, and bending throughout the shift.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Content Production/Creation, Mass Communications, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with GoPro equipment, wireless microphones, drones, and equipment stabilizers.
- Experience working with social media influencers and executing cross-brand collaborations.
- Graphic design skills and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Acrobat, Premiere Pro).
- Experience with social media management tools such as Sprout Social and task managers like Airtable.
- Knowledge of processes related to resorts, restaurants, spas, golf courses, or club memberships.
- Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
