Position Overview
At K&L Gates, we are looking for a smart, imaginative, and hard-working individual to join us as an AI Change Enablement Lead. In this role, you will promote firmwide AI adoption by developing tailored training programs, creating engaging content, establishing an AI Champions program, and implementing effective change management strategies. You will work closely with leadership and diverse teams to foster innovation, ethical AI practices, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed change management strategies using established frameworks (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter) to support organizational transitions during AI adoption.
- Create and execute the firm’s AI Change Enablement strategy with clear adoption plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage organizational resistance by developing multi-channel communication plans that emphasize the value proposition during the adoption process.
- Partner with leadership, practice group heads, and business unit leaders to secure sponsorship and drive top-down commitment.
- Design and deliver role-based AI training programs for diverse audiences using a mix of in-person, virtual, and on-demand sessions.
- Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theory to create accessible and actionable training materials tailored for different groups.
- Establish a firm-wide AI Champions Network to serve as advocates, early adopters, and first-line support within teams.
- Engage in pilot initiatives and proof-of-concept programs to evaluate user experience and refine enablement methods based on direct feedback.
- Develop deployment playbooks and adoption resources combining technical rollout with structured change management.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and IT teams to develop AI usage guidelines and policies that promote responsible AI adoption.
- Establish KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and feedback mechanisms to track adoption rates, engagement levels, and overall business impact.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Business, Communication, or a related field.
- Expertise in change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Process, McKinsey's 7-S framework).
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and training delivery methods.
- In-depth understanding of artificial intelligence technologies, with a focus on generative AI, large language models, and Microsoft Copilot.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Copilot, Power Platform, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Proficiency in project management tools, learning management systems, and analytics platforms to handle multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills with the ability to confidently address audiences of varying sizes and expertise.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in change management, learning and development, or enablement roles, preferably within professional services or technology adoption contexts.
- Demonstrated experience in leading organizational change initiatives and managing stakeholder resistance.
- Experience with AI technologies, digital transformation, or enterprise software adoption to support organizational advancements.
- Ability to create a wide array of training materials and effectively utilize various facilitation techniques for end-user engagement.
Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: $111,000 - $209,000. The final salary will be determined during the interview process, considering prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
