PROGRAM TECHNICIAN II

Position Overview

The Employment Development Department in San Diego County is seeking a Program Technician II to perform complex program specialist work under general supervision. In this role, you will review and process detailed technical forms associated with multiple departmental programs, report suspected fraudulent claims/activities, and provide sensitive program information to the public and various stakeholders. This is a permanent, full-time position with Salary: $3,833.00 - $4,804.00, located in Location: San Diego County, and the work hours are Schedule: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Process complex program specialist work by reviewing and processing detailed and technical forms and files associated with multiple departmental programs.
• Analyze cases where guidelines are not clearly defined and perform difficult calculations to ensure accurate processing.
• Report any suspected fraudulent claims or activities.
• Provide sensitive and detailed program guidance to the public, employees, and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Must meet the Minimum Qualifications as stated in the Classification Specification(s).
• Submission of a completed State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 is required; non-typed applications will not be considered.
