Digital Media Manager

Position Overview

The College of Science is seeking a communications professional to join the Marketing & Communications team within the Office of the Dean. The goal of this position is to support efforts to elevate the College’s reputation and mission, attract top students and faculty, amplify research and achievements, and strengthen connections with the COS community.

Position Type: Temporary

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with drafting and scheduling emails and newsletters to faculty, staff, students, families, and alumni using Outlook and Mailchimp, as well as managing social media content across active COS channels.
• Support major events, including Giving Day and Commencement/College Celebrations, in a communications capacity.
• Curate and craft both written and design content that highlights faculty research breakthroughs, student accomplishments, and department initiatives.
• Assist with website and intranet updates as requested.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of social media platform management and email marketing platforms.
• Experience in WordPress, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and DSLR is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong editing and writing skills.
• Ability to navigate evolving priorities while meeting multiple deadlines.
• Capable of working both independently and within a team.
• Occasional availability beyond standard business hours to support special events.
