  <p style="line-height:1.6; color:#333;">A ST (often called a scrub tech) works as part of a surgical team in Operating Rooms as well as in the Labor and Delivery unit. Surg Techs provide crucial support to a surgeon by preparing for surgery, passing instruments, supplying necessary items (such as sponges), and handling tissue during procedures. They generally work in hospital and outpatient clinic settings.</p>

    <li style="margin:8px 0;">Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon as needed</li>

    <li style="margin:8px 0;">Receive and contain tissue during surgical procedures</li>
    <li style="margin:8px 0;">Support both Operating Room and Labor &amp; Delivery teams</li>

    <li style="margin:8px 0;">Optional certification available to become a <strong>CST</strong> by completing the exam through the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NBSTSA)</li>
