Position Overview

Ann & Robert H. Key Responsibilities

  • Performs nursing assessments utilizing a variety of methods and/or area-specific tools.
  • Develops or individualizes care plans with goals tailored to family needs and documents changes.
  • Develops teaching plans/protocols to meet patient and family learning needs.
  • Provides nursing care according to procedures/protocols while anticipating and effectively intervening in emergent situations.
  • Communicates with families and the multidisciplinary team to identify healthcare needs and changes in patient status.
  • Stays current with nursing practices and incorporates hospital quality initiatives into daily activities.
  • Works cooperatively to foster the achievement of unit and hospital goals, emphasizing teamwork and service excellence.
  • Identifies learning needs and pursues resources to advance nursing practice and personal professional growth.
  • Demonstrates competency with protocols related to chemical disinfection, high-level disinfection, and sterilization as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher required.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Illinois.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients/families, physicians, and hospital staff.
  • Special certifications may be required by the department.

Compensation & Rewards

Pay Range: $37.00 - $61.05 Hourly
