Position Overview
Based in Boston, Massachusetts and offered as a Contract role, our client – one of the world's largest online destinations for the home – is searching for a freelance Senior Graphic Designer. In this role, you will drive content marketing design across digital channels, working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Enjoy rapid growth, continuous learning, and dynamic challenges while contributing your strong visual storytelling skills and creative instincts. Compensation Range: $35 - $39 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-impact seasonal campaign and evergreen marketing assets across digital channels (homepage, email, paid ads, social, and more).
- Translate creative strategy and business goals into compelling, brand-forward visuals.
- Collaborate closely with art directors, copywriters, and strategists to bring storytelling to life.
- Evolve and maintain scalable design systems and templates to ensure consistency across channels.
- Apply a refined eye to photography, typography, and layout to ensure all creative work is elevated and on-brand.
- Stay attuned to performance feedback, creative testing, and emerging channel trends.
- Balance high-quality execution with speed and adaptability in a fast-moving environment.
- Present work clearly and confidently, with openness to feedback.
- Design website elements and digital assets including email banners, homepage banners, and small content blocks, executing designs based on existing concepts and direction.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of graphic design experience, ideally in digital marketing, editorial, or e-commerce.
- A portfolio showcasing clean, elevated design and strategic thinking across multiple channels.
- Experience in systems design and AI-driven tools with a forward-thinking approach to scaling creativity and streamlining design processes.
- Strong grasp of visual storytelling and brand systems, with the ability to work within and push established guidelines.
- Deep understanding of optimizing creative for different platforms (email, paid, social, etc.).
- Excellent time management and communication skills with the ability to juggle deadlines and keep stakeholders aligned.
- A collaborative mindset, openness to feedback, and a proactive, energized approach.
- Proficiency in Figma (primary design tool) along with strong Adobe Creative Suite skills.
- Interest or experience in the home, interiors, or lifestyle space is a plus.
