Job Description

Position Overview

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our intensive care unit (ICU). Salary: $34.00 - $51.00 per hour. Schedule: FT Nights (3x12, 5:45pm-6:15am) with every other weekend rotation. Location: Decatur, IL at St. Mary's Hospital. A successful candidate’s actual pay rate will be based on factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to the most critically ill patients and offer comfort and emotional support to patients and their families. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality critical care to ICU patients and administer treatments according to established protocols.
  • Offer comfort and emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, including COVID-19 vaccination requirements or appropriate waivers.
  • Work a scheduled 36 hours per week while maintaining excellence in patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice.
  • Qualifications: Must hold a valid RN license (including multi-state RN license under the Nurse Licensure Compact rules) and possess Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as required by the patient population.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • Experience Required: Critical Care Nursing experience is preferred.
  • Qualifications: Preference for additional certifications such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN).
