Job Description

Position Overview

As a Dynatrace Solution Engineer, you will be a key member of the Dynatrace sales engine responsible for delivering top-notch technical support to the sales team. You will be the expert on Dynatrace’s advanced observability solutions—executing engaging demos, managing POCs (both onsite and remote), building crucial customer relationships, and collaborating with various internal teams including innovation labs, expert services, customer success managers, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evangelize Dynatrace’s product offerings at international trade shows and key customer account meetings to drive new and expanded business.
  • Partner with sales representatives to identify and cultivate both new and incremental sales opportunities.
  • Participate in proof of concept (PoC) creation and cloud architecture discussions, leading the technical evaluation in support of sales opportunities.
  • Present Dynatrace’s vision to C-suite executives and deliver on-stage demonstrations at industry events.
  • Provide technical guidance during the discovery, solution evaluation, and proposal stages of the sales cycle.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to Product Management to enhance Dynatrace’s market position.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to both internal teams and external partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in observability or application performance management technologies.
  • Proven experience in technical customer-facing roles, including excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages like Java, .NET, PHP, Go, or Node.js.
  • Advanced knowledge of operating systems including Windows and Linux.
  • Familiarity with DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with modern technologies such as containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
