Position Overview

Candidates between the ages of 18–34 are eligible to enlist in the U.S. Navy. At any given moment, hundreds of complex networked computer systems work in tandem to keep ships and submarines operating at peak performance. The specialized training you receive will pave the way to rewarding careers in IT, network support, computer programming, web development, and information security. In these roles, you may serve as a Systems Technician, Cryptologic Technician Networks, or Intelligence Specialist—each critical to ensuring seamless mission support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate complex networked computer systems essential for uninterrupted ship and submarine operations.
  • Serve as a Systems Technician to design, operate, and troubleshoot critical communications and computing systems.
  • Perform offensive and defensive cyber operations as a Cryptologic Technician Networks, protecting against attacks and ensuring cybersecurity.
  • Conduct intelligence gathering and analysis as an Intelligence Specialist, creating cohesive briefings for high-ranking Navy officials.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or equivalent
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 17 years of age or older
