Position Overview

The QA Auditor is responsible for performing internal and external Quality Assurance Audits of the repair station and its vendors to ensure compliance with processes, policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all work is performed to AAR’s quality standards, policies & procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor maintenance activities and ensure adherence to the Company Manuals
- Participate in the Quality Assurance Program, including accomplishing audits and ongoing evaluation of program effectiveness
- Identify and document any non-conformities
- Communicate findings through internal company software and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions
- Approve vendors when applicable
- Assist and interact with external auditors during audits at AAR
- Represent AAR professionally and liaise with customers and/or regulators
- Promote continuous improvement activities and initiatives
- Collaborate with production, providing technical guidance and assistance (e.g., coaching and training on airworthiness/aircraft document related issues)
- Attend and participate in various production meetings
- Ensure customer technical documentation is completed as per airworthiness agreements, such as work cards and logbooks
- Work with various departments to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft projects
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all quality activities
- Actively participate in AAR Windsor’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting safety hazards and incidents, while promoting the company safety policy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Quality Auditor is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of quality assurance experience, with preference given to Aviation auditing
- Attendance at an Auditor course (provided internally and mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, techniques, and tools
- Understanding of CARS, FAA, and EASA regulations
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
