Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for a direct assignment in Indianapolis, Indiana. The selected candidate will work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities and other state of the art manufacturing facilities. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm. Hybrid schedule available in Indianapolis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineering and design oversight for medium and low voltage power distribution, UPS/Generators, Lighting, Grounding, Fire Alarm, Security, Public Address (PA), Telecomm and Heat Trace systems.
  • Evaluate the desired goal of the system and develop, design or select the required equipment or power/controls to achieve the goal.
  • Perform calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications.
  • Direct activities to ensure that construction, installation and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards and customer requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with project team members and with the customer.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) or the ability to obtain one.
  • 10+ years experience in engineering design of building electrical systems.
  • Ability to perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, protective coordination and arc flash (ETAP, SKM or EasyPower).
  • Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is highly preferred.
