You'll shape strategy with executives, whiteboard with architects, and stay close through delivery to ensure outcomes land.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings (net-new sales) through post-sales (customer success and expansion)
- Provide pre-sales proofs of concept or short paid engagements to de-risk decisions and accelerate value.
- Clearly communicate phData's Managed Services (MS), Data Engineering (DE), and Machine Learning Engineering (MLE) offerings to existing and prospective customers.
- Ensure overall customer success across phData offerings and help establish and grow customer relationships.
- Grow phData's public presence at conferences, meetups, and speaking events.
- Collaborate with the Account Executive and Delivery Owner on Statement of Work (SOW) deliverables.
- Translate big-picture business requirements and use cases into complete data engineering solutions.
- Scope activities for large, complex data solutions and manage post-sales support and escalations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years as a Solutions Architect and/or Data Engineer, with experience architecting, building, and supporting modern data platforms
- Prior technical presales experience with strong technical skills, business acumen, and a sales mindset
- Experience establishing and growing accounts, including building trusted relationships, cross-selling services, and developing business case proposals
- Proven experience with data migration in large enterprise production environments
- Expertise in core data engineering technologies such as Snowflake, AWS, or Azure
- Strong working knowledge of SQL with the ability to write, debug, and optimize distributed SQL queries
- Experience defining solutions and scoping activities on large, complex data solutions
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders and customers
- Able to travel 20-30% (typically 1-2 day trips as part of the sales process)
