Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Engineer with extensive expertise in multiple cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage security solutions to enhance our security posture in a Federal secured or enterprise environment. Travel is required up to 25%, and this opportunity is offered as a prospective hire under a proposal planned for late Q1 2025 or early Q2 2025.
Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on skill sets, experience, security clearances, and other factors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security architectures across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for cloud deployments to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents by conducting regular security assessments and audits.
- Design and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including multi-factor authentication and access reviews.
- Implement encryption, data protection, and backup strategies to safeguard critical data.
- Integrate security practices into DevSecOps pipelines through automation and cross-team collaboration.
- Gather threat intelligence, develop incident response plans, and conduct post-incident reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance is required.
- Relevant education and experience: For Senior Consultant – a Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years experience or a Master's degree plus 1+ year experience in cybersecurity with a focus on cloud security; for Managing Consultant – a Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years or a Master's degree plus 3+ years experience in the same field.
- Possession of certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks (e.g., CSA, NIST) and proficiency with cloud security tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, Google Cloud Security Command Center).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel up to 25% and work in a hybrid model from a core Guidehouse or client office, with residence in the contiguous United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DOE Q-SENSITIVE clearance is a plus.
- Preference for candidates residing within 60 miles of a core Guidehouse or client office.
- Experience with container security technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible).
