Position Overview
We offer an excellent opportunity for a recent grad as a bookkeeper and office assistant within the business office of a manufacturing company. Oyster Bay Pump Works, Inc. supplies the global Life Sciences industry market with made-to-order automation equipment. With over 40 years of experience, we are located in Hicksville, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform typical office operations (bookkeeping, payroll, HR functions, AR/AP, file keeping, etc)
- Assist in processing various daily tasks and tracking of company activities and schedules
- Assist sales with quotations, tracking customer correspondence, and order processing
Required Qualifications
- Be well organized
- Be highly motivated and a quick learner
- Communicate accurately and concisely
- Have excellent handwriting
- Have good time management skills
- Be flexible to changing priorities
- Be well versed in MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Have accurate data entry skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bookkeeping certificate required
- Associates degree desirable
- 0 – 3 years related experience
