Position Overview

We offer an excellent opportunity for a recent grad as a bookkeeper and office assistant within the business office of a manufacturing company. Oyster Bay Pump Works, Inc. supplies the global Life Sciences industry market with made-to-order automation equipment. With over 40 years of experience, we are located in Hicksville, NY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform typical office operations (bookkeeping, payroll, HR functions, AR/AP, file keeping, etc)
  • Assist in processing various daily tasks and tracking of company activities and schedules
  • Assist sales with quotations, tracking customer correspondence, and order processing

Required Qualifications

  • Be well organized
  • Be highly motivated and a quick learner
  • Communicate accurately and concisely
  • Have excellent handwriting
  • Have good time management skills
  • Be flexible to changing priorities
  • Be well versed in MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • Have accurate data entry skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bookkeeping certificate required
  • Associates degree desirable
  • 0 – 3 years related experience
