Position Overview
Join Autodesk as a Senior Cloud Financial Operations Analyst and contribute to the evolution of FinOps practices across our organization. In this impactful role, you will blend FinOps execution with advanced analytics and business systems analysis. Your mission will be to foster a culture of FinOps through accountability and transparency, enabling stakeholders to leverage self-service capabilities and automation across cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
This position allows for remote work from anywhere in the U.S.
Responsibilities
Transform and manage FinOps as a service model:
- Act as the FinOps Product Owner for stakeholder-focused capabilities like dashboards, reporting, documentation, automation, and workflows.
- Establish a FinOps services portal to facilitate easy access for stakeholders to learn about services and request assistance.
- Advise on the operating model for FinOps including backlog management, roadmap creation, KPI and adoption measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Lead a network of FinOps Champions across diverse teams, enhancing self-sufficiency and creating shared goals.
- Promote FinOps cultural practices to enhance governance and decision-making quality, including showback adoption and cost ownership rituals.
Deliver robust analytics, dashboards, and optimization strategies:
- Create and maintain high-quality dashboards and reporting in Apptio Cloudability, Apptio BI, and Turbonomic, ensuring data integrity and stakeholder accessibility.
- Conduct analyses to identify anomalies and cost drivers, translating insights into actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical teams.
- Establish reporting guidelines for allocation logic and KPI definitions to enhance trust and consistency.
- Spot optimization opportunities and develop automated processes for seamless detection and action implementation.
- Monitor the effectiveness of changes using feedback metrics to continuously improve the quality of recommendations.
- Assist cloud service owners in budget forecasting and capturing performance against those projections.
- Enhance effective cloud rates through strategic commitments and pricing negotiations.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering to implement automation and safeguards related to FinOps practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience as a Business Systems Analyst focusing on stakeholder engagement and capability delivery.
- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and decision-making in complex environments.
- Hands-on experience with dashboard creation and maintenance in Apptio Cloudability and comparable tools.
- Familiarity with cloud billing and pricing models in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Experience collaborating with technical teams to drive automation improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
- Commitment to customer service excellence, enhancing FinOps documentation and self-service resources.
- Preferred: FinOps Certified Practitioner or cloud-related certifications (AWS, Azure).

Salary Transparency
Our competitive compensation package includes a starting base salary between $98,000 and $175,450, influenced by experience and geographical location. Additional elements may include bonuses, stock grants, and a full benefits package.
