Job Description

Position Overview

An Onboarding Consultant (OC) serves as a key relationship holder and accountability partner for assigned Motto franchise offices in the early adoption and growth stages. In this role, you will guide franchise owners through onboarding, set-up, training, and early performance review. Your high-touch service and strategic consulting—including assistance with licensing, training, compensation strategy, and technical portfolio adoption—will ensure franchise success and drive overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and nurture relationships with franchisees, agents, and strategic partners to advance business opportunities.
  • Take initiative by identifying franchisee needs, consulting with multiple departments, and ensuring compliance with franchise agreements.
  • Collaborate in content creation, articulate franchisee benefits, and design new presentations or tools to support network growth.
  • Act as an accountability partner by scheduling regular portfolio review meetings and guiding transitions using onboarding checklists.
  • Bridge communications between internal teams and franchise owners, introducing performance metrics such as the Franchise Performance Scorecard.
  • Leverage CRM feedback loops and collaborate with all departments to ensure quality service and resolve customer needs.
  • Utilize financial, organizational, and operational consulting practices to drive franchise performance.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Motto Value Propositions and support the sales, marketing, product, and leadership teams as needed.
  • Launch newly opened franchises to achieve performance benchmarks of “Meets Expectations” or “Exceeds Expectations”.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support franchise growth and success.

Required Qualifications

  • College degree, preferably with a focus in business, finance, or marketing.
  • Mortgage industry experience is required with a minimum of 3-5 years in roles such as processor, loan originator assistant, loan originator, or other operational positions (experience in retail, mortgage banking, wholesale lending, or secondary market is preferred).
  • Strong understanding of mortgage industry participants and processes, including processing, credit, and wholesalers.
  • Proficient in delivering both in-person and virtual training with excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to build customer relationships, influence cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, planning, and dispute resolution skills.
  • Experience with franchise operations is a plus.

  • Compensation: $57,000 - $64,000. (Actual compensation will be finalized at offer and may vary based on skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, and geographic location.)
