Position Overview
Compass Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking an enthusiastic SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR to join its productive team. In this full-time role, you will conduct risk-based financial, operational, compliance, and special audits to identify risks and control gaps. You’ll work closely with Senior Management to deliver practical recommendations and help drive continuous improvement in audit methodology and business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute risk-based audits individually or as part of a small team.
- Maintain appropriate work papers and evidence to support audit findings.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to all levels of management.
- Deliver high-quality audit reports with concise, practical recommendations.
- Enhance internal audit methodologies, risk assessments, and audit programs.
- Collaborate with local management to develop and monitor corrective action plans.
- Support additional audit activities, including fraud investigations and due diligence reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or internal/external audit.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%.
- Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills with excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
- Experience using SAP and data analytics software.
