Position Overview
Formosa Foods is a rapidly growing foodservice distributor serving multiple states. We are seeking a motivated Junior Supply Chain Inventory Analyst with a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field. This entry-level role, ideal for recent graduates, involves applying academic knowledge to real-world supply chain challenges in a dual-setting environment—split between office work and warehouse floor operations. The position also requires adapting to working conditions that may fluctuate between ambient and freezing temperatures, with physical demands such as walking, lifting, and extended periods of standing.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accurate records and optimize stock levels.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze supply chain data to support inventory planning and optimization.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- SOP Compliance: Understand and enforce the company's Standard Operating Procedures in the warehouse.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily warehouse operations with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work with various teams to implement effective inventory management strategies.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as needed to support smooth warehouse operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Flexible schedule with availability for shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in bilingual Chinese (Mandarin) is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Analytic thinking to generate data-driven recommendations for inventory improvements.
- Intermediate computer skills to support inventory management and reporting tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
