AI Engineer Enterprise Data Management and AIML Engineering

Position Overview

At American Express, our Machine Learning team is spearheading a transformation to build a customer-first ecosystem on the Cloud by democratizing Machine Learning. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy reusable AI/ML components for document and image processing, NLP, and Chatbots – directly impacting millions of colleagues and customers while advancing your career in a dynamic, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI/ML Research teams, Data Scientists, and Product Owners to analyze business features and support design and build activities.
• Develop architectures, prototypes, and new code including APIs, performing unit and assembly testing as needed.
• Code and implement reusable ML solutions.
• Deploy, support, and monitor software across test, integration, and production environments.
• Combine data science and engineering skills to solve impactful challenges.
• Help shape the direction of Machine Learning and artificial intelligence at American Express.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong analytical and programming skills with experience deploying applications in production environments.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with JAVA, Python, Big Data (Spark/Hive/Hbase), SQL/NoSQL, REST APIs, and continuous integration/delivery tools (JUnit, TestNG, Jenkins, Git, etc.).
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and effective communication with business partners.

• Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually + bonus.
