Position Overview

In this role, you will support our Accounting & Tax Division by preparing tax returns, managing financial reports, and building trusted relationships with our clients while enjoying significant opportunities for long‐term advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Accounting & Taxation.
  • Acts as Relationship Manager to the firm's corporate and individual clients.
  • Prepares tax returns for individuals, S-Corps, Partnerships, C-Corps, and Not-for-Profits with a focus on accuracy and strategic tax savings.
  • Prepares financial reports and bookkeeping services as required for accurate tax preparation and payroll processing.
  • Corresponds with Federal and State taxing authorities as needed.
  • Leads special projects aimed at the overall growth of the organization.
  • Collaborates closely with wealth management financial advisors.
  • Opportunity for sponsorship to take various financial securities tests, which could increase overallcompensation2-4X over time.

Required Qualifications

  • Willingness to work in the Fort Myers, FL (33907) or Minneapolis, MN office during tax season, with flexible hours and occasional remote work after April 30th.
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire and skills to advance within the organization.
  • College or Advanced Degree, preferably in Accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (or in the process during the first year).
  • A minimum of two years of experience in accounting and taxation.
  • Strong understanding of tax planning and the ability to build trusted relationships with small businesses and individuals.
  • Proficiency in preparing tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, and estates.
  • Ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to financial statements.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Intuit QuickBooks Desktop and Online versions.
  • Experience with Intuit ProSeries and ProConnect is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Adobe, and other business-related software.
  • FINRA Series SEI, 63, and 65 licenses are a plus but not required.
  • A professional designation such as Certified Financial Planner is highly preferable.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation:Salary is negotiable based on experience.
  • Bonus Potential:Eligible for bonus based on overall profitability of the global organization and personal performance in the Accounting & Tax Division.

  • Pay Range:55,000 - 85,000 USD per year (for both Fort Myers, FL and Minneapolis, MN).
