Web Developer - Entry Level

Position Overview

This is a back-end web developer position at Hardin Design & Development. ON SITE ONLY in our Madison office (hybrid/remote work available only for trusted long term employees). You will be involved in web application design and development, daily interactions with clients, and planning and implementing new applications. As part of our team, you'll be expected to "wear many hats" and continuously learn new technologies to solve diverse project challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement back-end functionality for web applications
• Participate in application planning and architecture discussions
• Collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional teams
• Contribute to code quality through testing, debugging, and peer reviews

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional web development (or equivalent) experience
• Solid understanding of basic algorithms, data structures, and proficiency in one or more programming languages
• Experience in back-end development of web applications
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and PHP

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React and Laravel
• Integration with third party APIs
• Exposure to other back-end languages such as Python, Java, .NET, or Go
• Experience with REST APIs, GIT, AWS (or similar cloud platforms), Docker, and CI/CD solutions

• Compensation: $58,000 - $65,000 per year (depending on experience)
