Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care by greeting, screening, and registering patients of all age groups while ensuring an excellent patient experience.
  • Conduct intake assessments—including obtaining medical histories, vital signs, medication reconciliation, and consents for procedures—both in-person and via telehealth.
  • Assist clinicians by preparing examination areas, performing CLIA-waived laboratory testing (e.g., glucose, pregnancy, rapid strep), and administering immunizations as ordered.
  • Manage front office duties including scheduling appointments, handling payments, answering phone calls, and maintaining medical records with confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the Care Team by facilitating effective communication between providers and patients and ensuring adherence to CMC’s Best Practices of “Team Care.”

Required Qualifications

  • One year of experience in a clinical setting and/or satisfactory completion of a medical assistant training program.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to provide sensitive and respectful care to individuals from diverse backgrounds in alignment with CMC’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Valid California Driver's License, proof of automobile insurance, and personal transportation.
  • Current basic life support certificate (BLS) or the ability to obtain one prior to hire, along with successful completion of the CMC written proficiency test and clinical skills competency checklist during the orientation period.
