The Opportunity:

Sunday Riley is looking for an experienced, creative, and outgoing Communications and Advocacy Manager to become a valuable member of our PR and Communications team. This job is critical to our key market marketing initiatives, creating local brand building partnerships and connections. This position juggles a mix of PR, influencer marketing, field marketing, and brand partnerships.

Sunday Riley is B-Corp certified and cruelty-free, with a focus on sustainable and highly effective skincare.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Love getting in front of new and existing customers as much as influencers, brand partners, and press. This job is 50% field marketing (consumer advocacy), 50% city-specific PR, brand partnerships, and influencer marketing.
  • Be the key market, local partner to our global PR and marketing strategy.
  • Be a creative problem solver who is always looking for solutions, even in ambiguous or hard-to-solve situations.
  • Be passionate about the Brand, B-Corp, and Sustainability.

Key Job Responsibilities

Internal Communication and Partnership

  • Work closely with the PR & Communications and Brand Marketing teams to create and deliver local, city-specific PR and marketing plans.

Outreach and Influencer Strategy

  • Build rapport with local and regional tastemakers, influencers, and organizations to proactively drive Brand-building and awareness.
  • Align global and local initiatives for product seeding and gifting activities. Own the market's outreach process from start (creating briefs for outreach for the region) to post-execution (tracking). Create product gifting calendar for the region.
  • Spend more than 50% of your time in-field, cultivating relationships.

Consumer Facing Initiatives

  • Identify and execute local field marketing, grassroots PR and marketing opportunities.
  • Ensure that brand values are communicated in an effective way.

Brand Partnerships

  • Identify and secure brand partnerships with key, local organizations and charities that advance the Brand's objectives.

Events

  • Develop and manage the ideation and execution of local events and post-event follow up.

Traditional Media (Print / Digital Press)

  • Pitch and secure local media coverage - both digital and print.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be able to pivot strategies and be agile, with a strong focus on creative problem solving
  • You must love working in a start-up like atmosphere
  • Passionate about the brand and skincare
  • Able to juggle multiple projects at the same time - across field marketing, influencer outreach, PR, and brand partnership opportunities
  • Extremely polished, engaging, and professional
  • Some travel required
  • 5+ years in marketing and/or public relations
  • Prior experience managing people and/or projects.
