Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generates sales quotes to customers for equipment & generator parts, service, rentals, and rebuilds on Taylor Forklifts & all generator makes and models.
  • Quotes services in the field and works with all customer relations.
  • Develops new customers in an assigned territory while maintaining current accounts.
  • Attends and works industry tradeshows and conferences to strengthen the company brand and develop customer relationships.
  • Creates and implements strategies for equipment & generator service and rental growth.
  • Collaborates with the Taylor Power System sales representative to develop a relationship with their customers to gain service opportunities.
  • Coordinates with other PSSR in NC for regional customer and business growth strategies unique to the territory customer base.
  • Provides a detailed call report to the Sudden Service Manager weekly to discuss customer concerns and field demands.
  • Maintains and submits accurate, timely expense reports to the North Caroline Sudden Service Center Manager.
  • Maintains and builds customer business in the N.C. Central to Western N.C. territory.

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of computers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Possesses tact and diplomacy with customers and peers.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record, as the position requires driving a company-owned vehicle under strict corporate insurance coverage.
  • Occasionally required to stay overnight at out-of-town locations.
  • Education: High School Education or GED equivalent
  • Experience Required: Sales Parts/Service experience a must.
