Position Overview
This role is centered on ensuring efficient warehouse operations through on-demand cycle counts, inventory checks, and maintaining shipping supplies inventory. The incumbent will support special projects, assist in training new and current associates, and work closely with both internal teams and corporate contacts. The position demands strong organizational and communication skills, technical proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, and the ability to work under varied physical conditions – from indoor settings to refrigerated or high work environments. Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-demand cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Supply tracking information for various order types.
- Create generic packing slips as required.
- Monitor and assist with the execution of special projects including relabeling and kitting.
- Track and maintain the inventory of shipping supplies.
- Assist with training new associates during on-boarding and provide continuous training to current staff.
- Follow up with corporate group inquiries via email and telephone in a timely manner.
- Attend staff meetings and conference calls.
- Assist the Operations group for client and executive visits.
- Support investigations of shipping error claims with Operations oversight.
- Assist the Operations Supervisor with tracking and improving team pick accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills with employees, peers, and customers.
- Reliably maintain telephone and email communication with various LSL staff members.
- Demonstrate strong organization abilities and effective communication.
- Ability to multitask on a daily basis and work with minimal supervision.
- Adhere to a professional dress code.
- Navigate company ERP systems, including Quality Management System – CQ and Warehouse Management System – TecSys via RF Unit and PC.
- Possess intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with proprietary shipping software (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip) is required.
- Maintain clear and professional diction in English.
- Effectively and safely operate Warehouse MHE (e.g., forklift, reach truck).
- Must successfully pass all preliminary employment requirements (background check and drug screen).
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree preferred, but not required.
- A minimum of 2 years’ logistics and warehousing experience is preferred.
- Experience with warehouse or supply chain environments is a plus.
