Job Description

Position Overview

The Bilingual Patient Service Representative at TCA Health is pivotal in ensuring a smooth and efficient front desk operation. The role involves greeting patients, processing registration and insurance documentation, and scheduling appointments to deliver quality customer service. Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors, determine their needs, and direct them accordingly.
  • Provide new patient information sheets and ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Process registration documentation, insurance verifications, fee collection, and route information to the appropriate clinic or department.
  • Verify and update patient insurance status and demographic data in the system.
  • Assist clients in completing necessary forms for registration and medical records requests.
  • Collect co-payments and process payments during check-in.
  • Handle incoming phone calls: answer questions, relay messages, and schedule appointments.
  • Prepare the front desk area for the next business day and maintain a tidy environment.
  • Support other front and back-office personnel as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor at all times.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of medical billing experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
  • Willingness to travel to other sites as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Health Pro and GE Centricity computer software.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is considered a bonus.
