Remote Procurement and Supply Chain Manager

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and results-oriented Remote Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to oversee all aspects of their global supply chain and procurement operations. This is a fully remote position in the US where you will develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize inventory management, negotiate favorable contracts with suppliers, and ensure the efficient flow of goods and services. You will play a crucial role in driving cost savings, mitigating risks, and enhancing the overall performance and resilience of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to support business objectives.
• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations including demand planning, inventory control, logistics, and distribution.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while ensuring compliance with ethical sourcing standards.
• Negotiate complex contracts and pricing agreements to secure competitive terms and long-term partnerships.
• Implement and manage procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Analyze market trends and develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.
• Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimized carrying costs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and deliver effective solutions.
• Utilize technology and data analytics to drive process improvements and cost reduction.
• Lead and mentor a remote procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, including remote team experience.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives and supply chain optimization strategies.
• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
• Deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics, logistics, and inventory management principles.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain management software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing remote teams.
• Experience in implementing and optimizing supply chain technologies and automation.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent are a strong asset.
