Job Description

Position Overview

Wesley Manor Retirement Community is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Technician (CMT) to support the health, safety, and overall well-being of our residents. This role is essential to delivering high-quality, resident-centered care through medication administration, direct support with daily living activities, and close collaboration with our nursing and care teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, empathy, and a strong commitment to excellence in senior care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Monitor, observe, and accurately document residents’ vital signs, health conditions, and changes in status
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary care teams to implement individualized care plans
  • Provide emotional support, reassurance, and companionship to residents
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
  • Participate in required training and continuing education to maintain certification and enhance skills

Required Qualifications

  • Current Certified Medical Technician (CMT) certification in the state of Kentucky (required)
  • Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred
  • Working knowledge of medication administration, medical terminology, and basic clinical procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, resident-focused approach with patience and professionalism
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Basic computer skills for electronic documentation and communication
