Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to promote the University of Texas, Austin's brand and reputation.
  • Collaborate with various departments and teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation across all marketing materials and initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to identify target audiences and develop targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Create and manage a budget for marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Oversee the production of marketing materials, including print, digital, and multimedia content.
  • Manage and mentor a team of marketing and communication professionals.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing and communication efforts, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in marketing and communications.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for the university, communicating with media outlets and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors to execute marketing and communication initiatives.
  • Assist in crisis communication strategies and manage the university's reputation in times of crisis.
  • Attend and represent the university at conferences, events, and other networking opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between the university and community organizations to build partnerships and promote the university's brand.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to marketing and communications.
  • Participate in strategic planning and goal setting for the university's overall marketing and communication efforts.
