Position Overview
OSU Harding Hospital/East Hospital-Talbot Hall provides the most comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for adults, older adults, and adolescents in central Ohio. Our services include outpatient, IOP, and Partial Hospitalization care with comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses from qualified clinicians, and individualized treatment plans. We offer specialty programs addressing Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Psychosis, Trauma- and Stress-Related Disorders, Sexual Dysfunction, Women’s Behavioral Health, Addictions, Trauma, and Neurocognitive Disorders. Talbot Hall also provides specialized evidence-based addiction services, including Medicated Assisted Treatment, Detox, Intensive Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization, and ongoing outpatient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the clinical activities of team members to ensure effective, efficient, and evidence-based service delivery to patients and families.
- Monitor and assess practice patterns and report outcomes to management to maintain a high level of clinical expertise.
- Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for patients with mental health complaints.
- Deliver counseling/psychotherapy—including individual, group, or couple/family therapy—to facilitate improved functioning.
- Formulate individualized treatment plans to help patients meet their treatment goals.
- Advocate within the local community, collaborate as part of the clinical team, maintain third-party payer relationships, and complete necessary paperwork (e.g., disability, FMLA).
- Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 10-6:30
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Independent Ohio license to practice (i.e., LISW, LPCC, LICDC) with Supervisory Designation.
- Minimum of five years of experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
- Ongoing requirement to maintain licensures, credentials, and complete Buckeye Learn modules, practicing within the parameters of the Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board.
- Training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality is required.
- Leadership and supervisory training may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and/or training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy).
- Prior leadership and supervisory experience.
