Job Description
Position Overview
As a Home Health Aide - PRN, you will provide healthcare and supportive services to patients in their homes. You will assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and moving patients while ensuring a safe and clean environment. Reporting to the RN Case Manager and working under the supervision of a registered nurse, you must be prepared to work under varied conditions with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials, requiring flexible scheduling and physical endurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide healthcare and related services to patients in their homes.
- Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and patient mobility.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patient care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Operate and assist with medical equipment as required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma preferred with completion of an approved nurse aide training program (Medicare-specified, state-approved, or holding a state certificate).
- Experience: One year preferred experience as a Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant, or successful completion of a related certification program.
- Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
- Certifications/Requirements: Must provide proof of CPR certification, a negative TB screen, and a Hepatitis profile; must pass a criminal background check and drug screening; reliable transportation with current auto liability insurance is required.
