Job Description
Position Overview
Sr. Demand Manager – This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX. The role offers a hybrid schedule currently (4 days in office, 1 day WFH) with plans to transition to fully onsite by April 2026. The candidate will be responsible for developing detailed sales and gross margin forecasts and working cross-functionally to drive supply chain performance. Compensation: $30.00 - $34.00/hr. Key Responsibilities
- Develop weekly store and SKU level sales and gross margin plans and forecasts.
- Model impacts of various promotional strategies on top-line sales and gross margin.
- Work closely with the Merchant to understand assortment strategies and recommend the optimal product mix.
- Partner with Product Marketing to incorporate product portfolio decisions into forecasts.
- Collaborate with the Inventory Manager to ensure adequate inventory supply by SKU and location, minimizing stock outs.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to drive incremental sales and gross margin.
- Work with cross-functional partners to resolve forecast and demand issues and execute plans for predictable supply chain results.
- Analyze actual sales and sell-out data to identify deviations from the Demand Plan and act swiftly.
- Communicate product availabilities to the sales team and stakeholders, and update customers.
- Develop and execute product demand plans based on demand patterns and business trends.
- Provide solutions by researching system capabilities, standard processes, and best practices.
- Coordinate projects including new product launches and lifecycle changes.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS college degree required or its equivalent.
- 8-10 years of experience in inventory supply planning, material/demand planning, Demand Management/Planning/Inventory Management, or strategic sourcing.
- Thorough understanding and hands-on experience with supply chain processes to identify and collaborate with appropriate teams for inventory control.
- Solid grasp of master scheduling, forecasting, procurement, and demand planning principles.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (iSeries, Oracle, SAPJDA) and MS Office tools including Excel and Access, with experience in formula-driven spreadsheets, charting, and database querying.
- Comfortable with various ERP systems and their functionalities.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Able to work flexible hours and travel as required.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and influence personnel at various levels.
- Self-starter with a high level of personal accountability and innovative thinking.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA.
- APICS or other forecasting certification.
- Experience using Replenishment and Fulfillment software.
