IT Hardware Technician

Position Overview

Gophermods, a Minnesota IT solutions company serving the Twin Cities area, is seeking an entry‑level IT technician ready to launch their career in tech. In this role, you will gain hands‑on experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of devices including Chromebooks, MacBooks, Windows laptops, iPads, and desktops. Work in a collaborative, people‑first environment supporting both educational and business clients.

Location: New Brighton, Minneapolis | Job Type: Full time and Part time | Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day shift (No nights or weekends)

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Chromebooks, MacBooks, Windows laptops, iPads, tablets, and desktops.
• Perform screen, battery, and component replacements as well as complete device refurbishments.
• Support K–12 districts and business clients with device repair, fleet management, and large-scale deployments.
• Configure, image, and deploy devices with white‑glove care for managed device services.
• Assist with IT logistics, parts handling, asset management, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with teammates to optimize repair workflows and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Required Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and an organized work ethic.
• Capability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Enthusiasm for learning IT and computer repair through hands‑on experience.
