Position Overview
Join EY as an economist in the Quantitative Economics and Statistics (QUEST) practice. Based in Washington, D.C., you'll work with a diverse team of economists, statisticians, and business analysts to model economic, tax, and regulatory policies and help build a better working world. Key Responsibilities
- Quantitatively analyze and model economic, tax, and regulatory policies.
- Construct economic models to estimate the contribution of industries and sectors.
- Estimate the financial impact of physical and transition climate risks on companies.
- Interpret academic research and incorporate advanced methodologies into your work.
- Write and edit reports that translate technical analyses for broad audiences including policymakers.
- Craft dynamic data visualizations to highlight key insights from quantitative analyses.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in public policy, economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
- Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to apply quantitative methods in a business environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork, including the ability to direct other team members.
- Proficient written and visual communication skills.
- Strong technical skills in data processing using Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas) and coding languages such as STATA, R, and Python.
- Willingness to travel as needed in a balanced hybrid work environment.
