Job Description

Position Overview

BevMo! by Gopuff is seeking a Sales Floor Leader for our Retail Operations team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in creating an excellent customer experience while driving sales and delivering on business goals. You will lead daily operations, motivate the team to achieve store goals, analyze sales trends, develop action plans to drive top line sales, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by enforcing company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently create a welcoming environment for customers by greeting, assisting, and selling, while quickly responding to their inquiries and needs.
  • Provide a strong leadership presence and control on the sales floor to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Manage day-to-day store operations on the sales floor, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management.
  • Achieve sales targets and maximize profitability through effective selling and merchandising, using promotional and upselling techniques.
  • Partner with store support teams to increase sales, drive/promote merchandise categories, and expand markets.
  • Support the Store Manager in managing store expenses and budgets, including labor costs, supplies, and operational expenses.
  • Utilize company tools to diagnose opportunities and develop action plans to improve store performance.
  • Monitor inventory levels and participate in inventory management activities to minimize out-of-stock situations and overstocking.
  • Support the Store Manager in training store staff by providing feedback, coaching, and input for performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all pricing, signage, and displays are correct at all times.
  • Receive regular vendor deliveries and stock the sales floor in a timely manner.
  • Control inventory stock levels and reorder as necessary within budget.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and security.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Ability to work full-time (nights, weekends, and holidays as required).
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to the sale of alcohol.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with confidence to customers and team members.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds.
  • Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Utilize logic and methodical approaches to solve problems with effective solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain constructive and effective relationships.
  • Ability to influence at all levels and work effectively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Retail or Hospitality management experience.
  • Wine, Spirits & Beer product knowledge.

  • Compensation: Gopuff pays employees based on market pricing; for U.S. locations, compensation is determined using a cost of labor index for that geographic area.
  • San-Diego-Mission-Valley, CA: $18 - $27.56.
