Job Title
Our client seeks a Project Accountant to join their team. This provides day-to-day financial and administrative support for active development projects, ensuring accurate tracking of costs, compliance, and overall accounting oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project financials from setup through closeout, including budget tracking, contract administration, and payment review.
- Manage compliance requirements such as vendor documentation, insurance, and reporting throughout each project’s lifecycle.
- Use project and accounting software tools to track budgets, costs, and generate reports.
- Process and reconcile invoices, pay applications, and budget changes to maintain accuracy.
- Assist in preparing draw packages for owners and lenders, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete.
- Support monthly reporting, reconciliations, and close activities.
- Partner with project teams to align budgets, track changes, and provide financial insights.
- Contribute to special projects and general accounting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Background in project or construction accounting strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with modern accounting/project management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
