Position Overview
Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products primarily servicing the offshore energy industry. The role is part of a paid Summer Engineering Internship Program (late May to early August) offering a unique opportunity to work in a hybrid environment—both virtually and from the office as required. The position is with the Offshore Projects Group (OPG) Design Engineering team, providing real-world application of classroom knowledge through diverse projects and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the OPG Design Engineering team to support design and maintenance for ROV tooling, IWOCs, RWOCs, and other equipment.
- Support a global design team by handling daily engineering tasks and project assignments.
- Apply classroom knowledge to real-life projects under the guidance of experienced mentors.
- Work closely with a mentor to ensure developmental goals are met and performance expectations are achieved.
- Participate in team building activities, meet-and-greet lunches with the executive team, facility tours, and off-site ventures.
Required Qualifications
- Upcoming 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student at an accredited University pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Civil, Ocean Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- No relocation or housing assistance is provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A demonstrated desire to learn and continually develop professionally.
- Ability to work under general direction.
