Job Description

Position Overview

Join HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital as a Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. In this role, you will provide clinical expertise to ensure patients receive high-quality, efficient care in a procedural environment, while working alongside a supportive and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Cardiac Cath patients pre, intra, and post procedure.
  • Assist physicians in operative procedures.
  • Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Required Qualifications

  • MUST HAVE CATH LAB EXPERIENCE FOR PRN
  • Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or with an appropriate compact licensure (if compact licensed, an active FL RN license is required within 60 days of hire).
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • One to three years’ experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician.
  • Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills; proficient in following written and verbal instructions and using PC systems.
