Job Description

Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will be a current Mechanical Engineering student pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Junior or Senior level student preferred. Our internships are designed to provide exposure to day-to-day operations, real projects, and an opportunity to learn from an experienced team of talented engineers. The role offers hands‐on experience in various aspects of mechanical systems and engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist team members in executing engineering projects by conducting research, preparing reports, and contributing to project planning.
  • Support the engineering team with drafting and modeling using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Collect and analyze engineering data to inform decisions and generate insights.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and managing records.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to achieve common project goals.
  • Assist in mechanical design calculations, HVAC system layout, and equipment selection.
  • Support engineers in preparing construction documents, specifications, and reports.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to obtain product information and specifications.
  • Attend site visits for field data collection and verification.
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and special projects to enhance learning.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks.
  • Travel: Must be available to travel between 10% - 25% of the time, possibly including overnight stays.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in mechanical design software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior engineering internship experience.
