Position Overview

More than 2.5 billion people in over 180 countries use WhatsApp to stay in touch with friends and family, anytime and anywhere. This foundational role within the WhatsApp global marketing organization will play a critical part in the global development of the WhatsApp brand. As a proven consumer marketing manager who is passionate about building brands and experienced in developing and executing insights-driven brand marketing plans, you will bridge global and local consumer marketing teams and lead large scale campaigns and brand moments for billions of users.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a pipeline of global brand marketing initiatives across media, partnerships, experiential, editorial, etc.
- Inform our overall global brand strategy based on an in-depth understanding of users, product, and competitive landscape in key markets.
- Lead the development of campaigns and go-to-market strategy for our global brand campaigns and tentpole moments that meet our short and long term business goals.
- Partner closely with Product Marketing, Consumer Insights, Decision Science, Communications, Planning and Media Investment, Creative X, Media and Advertising Agencies, Growth Marketing and Product Management to identify opportunities and deliver integrated marketing campaigns.
- Track performance of campaigns to provide data-backed insights, optimize campaigns, find new opportunities, and report success to leadership.
- Work with a growing team of Brand Strategists, Integrated Marketers, Social & Comms teams to deliver on business priorities.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in brand marketing for consumer tech brands of global scale.
- Brand marketing experience in the tech industry.
- In-depth experience in landing successful product value propositions with a clear brand point of view.
- Experience in leading large multi-million dollar campaigns with an understanding of communications and media planning.
- Demonstrated experience working with media and creative agencies with the capacity to connect brand & business agendas and develop bold, innovative ideas.
- Extensive experience connecting product & brand marketing agendas and the capacity to operate in both lanes.
- Proven track record of integrating a tech product’s brand positioning into product design and go-to-market strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of WhatsApp as a brand and product.
- Experience with both early stage products and established products/brands.
- Global experience working across multiple markets.
- BA/BS degree in marketing, business, or a related field.

- Compensation: $122,000/year to $176,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
