Position Overview
Step into a dynamic role at Brown-Forman as the Market Manager for Emerging Brands in San Diego. In this role you will drive brand success through innovative strategies, meaningful relationships, and seamless execution – directly influencing the growth and visibility of Brown-Forman’s emerging portfolio. You will serve as a local thought leader and engage with internal and external stakeholders to elevate the brand in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with targeted on-premise and off-premise accounts by developing rapport, engaging key decision-makers, and "hand selling" the assigned portfolio.
- Lead market planning efforts by strategizing with cross-functional teams, setting measurable goals, and monitoring performance to surpass market trends.
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions, including wait staff training and brand education seminars to create advocacy for Brown-Forman brands.
- Analyze market data, including depletion reports, converting insights into actionable strategies to boost brand visibility.
- Manage budgets and collaborate with distributor sales teams to ensure target achievement and financial success.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the beverage alcohol industry with a proven track record of meeting key performance metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders while collaborating across channels and functions.
- Strong coaching and sales training skills, with a consistent, visible presence in the market.
- Proficiency with business operations software and systems (e.g., Google Suite, Microsoft Office) for budgeting and planning.
- Ability to travel, work nights and weekends as required, with a valid state driver’s license and the physical capability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: Base salary of $86,000 - $93,000, plus a 25% bonus paid semi-monthly and a labor allowance equal to 10% of the base salary.
