Position Overview

In this role, you will bring innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands in Wichita and surrounding areas while using professional sales techniques to build long-term advertising relationships. Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets while monitoring personal sales data and reports.
  • Target businesses in the assigned area by visiting both established Lamar clients and competitor accounts.
  • Exhibit working knowledge of local and national competition and cluster accounts efficiently.
  • Identify potential growth areas, open new accounts, and prepare proposals, presentations, and research using Lamar computer tools.
  • Develop presentation skills by routinely presenting to clients and enhancing new product knowledge.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings, regional gatherings, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Perform administrative duties by maintaining organized sales plans, following up on client orders, and problem-solving issues as they arise.

Required Qualifications

  • Comfort making cold calls both over the phone and in-person.
  • Ability to make oral presentations and clearly articulate policies and procedures.
  • Alignment with values of inclusivity and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Motivation to learn new technologies and systems, paired with effective time management and self-organization skills.
  • Willingness to immerse in the outdoor advertising industry, displaying excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to perform under fluctuating workloads, meet sales quotas, and demonstrate intrinsic self-motivation and resilience in response to rejection.
  • Requirements: Current and Valid Driver’s License required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: College Degree preferred.
  • Previous outdoor advertising sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CRM experience preferred.
