Job Description

Position Overview

In this role, you will work closely with engineers, product owners, leadership, and analysts to design, develop, test, implement, and support high-quality software solutions in an SOA environment. You will be responsible for maintaining new and existing web application programs, integrating Credit Union systems with vendor applications, and ensuring that all systems meet user and management requirements. This position requires collaboration on technical designs, code reviews, and documentation to drive our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and support our Organization's Values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and product owners to identify and implement best-in-class software solutions for complex issues.
  • Maintain and enhance software/web application programs while supporting both user and management needs.
  • Design, develop, test, implement, document, and support application enhancements, conversions, and system installations.
  • Provide technical support for production environments by resolving issues and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Develop technical solutions by researching, analyzing, and collaborating with senior team members, ensuring comprehensive documentation and adherence to requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience implementing and managing software solutions.
  • At least 6 years designing, developing, enhancing, and implementing server/mainframe technical solutions.
  • Minimum 3 years of programming experience in environments such as CICS online transaction processing and COBOL mainframe setups.
  • Proficiency with mainframe technologies in the IBM z/OS environment, including COBOL, CICS, Assembler, Easytrieve, ISPF, VSAM, Endeavor, TSO, JCL, and IBM Utilities.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Software Development Life Cycle covering requirements gathering, use case development, solution design, and documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
