A well-established manufacturing firm in Grand Rapids, Michigan, US is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance department. This is an on-site position, offering a stable and professional work environment. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Your Responsibilities

• Managing the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Performing account reconciliations
• Assisting with internal and external audits
• Involved in budgeting and forecasting activities

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Certification: CPA designation or actively pursuing one

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or cost accounting setting

Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills

Strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills are critical for this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for interacting with various departments and external stakeholders.
