Position Overview
At ST Engineering MRAS, we design and build Nacelles for commercial aircraft applications. Our products help make it possible for millions around the world to fly quickly and safely. In this role, you will lead design efforts within your assigned program. At MRA Systems, our employees work on advanced technologies and systems that support thousands of customers and millions of people daily. We are a pioneer in producing and assembling complex aerostructures including aircraft and rocket components, engine nacelle systems, thrust reversers, and composite products, leveraging the latest digital technologies and automation. We are also rapidly expanding our maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities by utilizing our expanded aircraft nacelle portfolio alongside our materials and processing expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and document Nacelle components and assemblies including thrust reversers, inlets, fan cowls, and EBU systems.
- Coordinate with various functions to ensure compliance with business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
- Execute product processes related to design, analysis, testing, materials, manufacturing, quality, and productivity.
- Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations on events occurring in the fielded hardware fleet.
- Initiate and execute engineering changes to support cost-out, weight-out, and producibility projects.
- Effectively communicate with the engineering program manager by preparing for technical and program reviews, developing and executing plans to achieve technical requirements, creating action plans in response to challenges, participating in technical reviews, creating engineering change packages, and providing technical inputs to cost-out projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering role related to mechanical systems and/or design engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Highly skilled in CATIA V5 and CATIA V4.
- Experience with PLM systems; Enovia is preferred.
- Experience with composite design software such as Fibersim and/or CPD preferred.
- Experience with design of Aircraft Electrical Wiring and Interconnecting Systems (EWIS).
- Experience with the design and routing of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal leadership abilities.
- Ability to influence others, lead small teams, and coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Proven skills in problem identification, analytical thinking, and organizational ability.
Compensation
Estimate salary range for this role: $92,000 to $138,100 per year. ST Engineering considers various factors including key skills, relevant work experience, education, certifications, job level, and work location when making job offers as part of our competitive Total Rewards package.
