Job Description
Position Overview
This role at CSL Behring is responsible for developing and executing U.S. market access strategies that support product brands, therapeutic areas, future launches and ongoing commercialization. The successful candidate will lead payer engagement efforts, collaborate with cross‐functional teams, analyze market trends and serve as the US market access subject matter expert.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute U.S. market access strategies to support product brands and therapeutic areas.
- Lead payer engagement strategy and execution across national and regional commercial payers, PBMs, specialty pharmacy, Medicare and Medicaid.
- Partner with strategic pricing, contracting, HEOR, government affairs, patient services and field access teams to develop compelling value propositions.
- Oversee the development of access-related tools and resources, including metrics and customer behavior analysis.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, medical affairs, and legal teams to ensure alignment on strategy and execution.
- Monitor policy, reimbursement, and pricing landscape and assess implications for the business.
- Support contracting strategy development and assist with negotiations as needed.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants and payer advisors.
- Analyze access and utilization data to inform strategy and measure performance.
- Serve as the U.S. market access subject matter expert for the CSL business unit in the commercial organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or economics.
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in U.S. market access, managed markets, payer strategy or related pharmaceutical functions.
- Deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, reimbursement mechanisms, and payer landscape.
- Proven ability to analyze complex policy issues with superior problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, influence, strategic and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or MPH.
- US launch experience in specialty rare therapeutics (rare disease, immunology, hemophilia).
- Experience with Medicare Part B/D, Medicaid and commercial payers.
- Familiarity with ICER, QALY models, and evidence-based value frameworks.
- Understanding of value-based contracting and innovative reimbursement models.
